Already a crazy day in College Football, Central Michigan, led by quarterback Dan LeFevour, upset Michigan State today, ending the game with the most beautiful onside kick you'll ever see.
Michigan just started playing Notre Dame.
I want Michigan to win, but I just know that ND will pull it out and continue their run of "we're back," which is a lie.
Houston is up 6-0 on #OK State. That could be a huge upset against the Cowboys.
Syracuse and PG turned QB Greg Paulus faced Penn State today. Let's just say his 2nd career start did not go well.
UCLA has a big match-up in Rocky Top today. The Bruins face probably the most anticipated game of the Greg Neuheisel era. If the Bruins can win against a team that put up 60+ points last week against a crappy opponent, then they can definitely feel confident winning against anyone, including the Trojans in the Coliseum later this year. Just remember though, Tennesee head coach Lane Kiffin learned from the best, UCLA offensive coordinator Norm Chow. He'll definitely have an advantage by knowing what kind of schemes Norm will use. He can then easily relay this to his defensive coordinator, amd father, Monte Kiffin.
In other top 10 news, Florida finally beat the Trojans.
No. Not those Trojans.
Those Trojans are paitently waiting somewhere in Columbus for the first major match-up of the season.
Unbiased, I believe the Trojans are more talented in every position over the Buckeyes except for QB, and that's only because Pryor has a year under his belt and because Barkley's still a youngin'. The talent is definitely there for both those players.
The rough part, and I know you've heard this all before, will be starting a freshman in such a hostile environment such as the famous Horseshoe. 105,000 people are expected to be there to try to run the Trojans out of the 'Shoe and to see their Buckeye's gain redemption for last years loss in L.A., and for every bad word that has ever been spoken about the Buckeye's speed, talent level, and big game performances in the last couple of years.
I think USC will win, by how much I can't tell you. I think they're too fast, too talented, too stacked at running back, and too Taylor Maysed.
Yes, Taylor Maysed.
It should be a good day in College Football.
